Spirit Choir
Open to Girls in Grades 4 through 8
In the Spirit Choir, performers continue to develop their vocal skills to the next level. The concept of harmony and melody is introduced through more challenging repertoire. During the spring semester, the Spirit Choir becomes a showchoir featuring a variety of styles of music and choreography. At least once per year, a professional choreographer works with the Spirit Choir. An opportunity for solos and special parts may be available, and choir members will experience the audition process. However, emphasis is placed on the "team" and the children are encouraged to remember that the soloist is not the most important part of the choir.
Spirit Choir rehearses in East Hall at SIJ on Tuesdays from 3:30 to 4:30.
